The Fat Snook
Why is it that whenever you’re near the water you have a sudden craving for seafood? It doesn’t seem to matter if it’s the ocean, a lake, a river, babbling stream, it’s like a hunger magnetism overtakes my entire system and primally demands fish. Weird. Luckily, when you’re near the ocean, especially Cocoa Beach, there is no shortage of seafood restaurants.
Herein lies the issue. Which one do I choose?
While there are loads of excellent options, a recent favorite has emerged! The Fat Snook! Today, I declare that they have the best seafood in Cocoa Beach!
About
The Fat Snook is casual seafood restaurant with a scratch kitchen that crafts some of the best local seafood I’ve had in a while. They have just a touch of a Caribbean flair in their offerings lending to that beachy islandy feel and flavor I love so much! On top it all…it’s beautiful! The restaurant is so nicely put together with both indoor and outdoor seating, plants, wine,. flowers decor, it’s nice to look at!
Food
Get ready for the main event! I tried at least 7 dishes (honestly I lost count!) and every single one was delicious and beautifully plated! Roasted Beet Salad, outstanding! Smoked Salmon…to die for! Crab Cakes? The crabbiest (and in this context, that’s a high compliment!) Their menu is filled with dishes that have been been thoughtfully crafted with a passion for showcasing the best local seafood to its greatest advantage. This kitchen knows what it’s doing!
Drinks
Not only is the food fantastic, they used their attention to detail and good taste to select a wine list that is unique and wonderful! I lost count at 40 selections, but their wine list is extensive and I have it on good authority that it’s fantastic! Wine not your thing? No worries! They have a curated selection of local beers and tried and true favorites just for you! And if you’re like me, you could just order yourself a Negroni!
Add in weekday happy hour from 4-6 with half off appetizers and drinks and you’ve got me, hook, line, and sinker!
To Sum Up
You guys, do I know definitively that this is the best seafood in Cocoa Beach? Um…I’m gonna say yes! The Fat Snook is absolutely fantastic!
